Social and messaging integrations

Meta, WhatsApp, Telegram, entitlements, and troubleshooting.

Integrations connect external messaging surfaces to a single chatbot so Chat stays one inbox. What you can connect depends on your plan, add-ons, and what your workspace administrator has enabled in the catalog.

Where to find integrations

Open Automation in the sidebar, then the Integrations tab (?tab=integrations). Integrations are always the last tab in the Automation hub, after Flows and any entitled Calendar or Database modules.

Integrations are not modules—they are channel add-ons managed separately from feature modules like Calendar or Database.

Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp)

For Facebook Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp, the product uses Connect with Meta OAuth. After you authorize:

  1. You may see a selection step listing Facebook Pages, Instagram accounts, and WhatsApp numbers returned by Meta.
  2. Choose which assets to link to this chatbot and confirm. Messages from those assets then route into the chatbot's Chat inbox.

If authorization fails, the UI surfaces an error—retry the flow, confirm you are using an account that administers the correct Page, and check Meta Business settings outside Chatloop.

Add-ons

Some channels are included in your plan; others require purchasing an add-on monthly subscription. The Integrations page shows Included in plan versus Add-on and lists pricing when available. Purchasing may open a confirmation with proration details before you commit.

Disconnecting

You can remove a linked channel from the chatbot when you no longer want traffic there. Canceling a paid add-on follows the billing rules shown at purchase time (for example access through the end of the paid period).

Telegram

When Telegram is entitled on your plan, connect a bot by supplying the bot token from BotFather (and an optional display name). Keep tokens secret; rotate them in Telegram if they leak.

Roadmap channels

The catalog may list additional providers as Coming soon. Those cannot be connected until Chatloop ships the connector.

Permissions

Only users who can manage integrations for the chatbot (typically the owner or an admin on that chatbot) see Automation with the Integrations tab. Team members with read-only access work in Chat but may not change integrations.

Same chatbot, many surfaces

Website widget visitors and integration users share one chatbot knowledge base and AI settings. Update Knowledge and Settings > AI Model when your answers must change across every channel.
